A Brave New World

I begin this post with a question: Do you have that moment in your mind when you instantly or perhaps instinctively knew that the world was going to change in a fundamental way, almost at the blink of an eye? A particular situation or event upon which you realized that Covid 19 was a catalyst for a fundamental shift in humanity? Or at minimum at least an insane world impacting event that, almost in an instant, was going to cause such great upheaval and quite honestly serious disruption to your life? A Pelvic Health Story

A driving catalyst for our blog can be summed up in one word: PAIN. And I do not mean emotional or psychological pain, however that is in fact at the root of this story, but I would be getting ahead of myself. No, the pain I am referring to is physical, gut wrenching, drop you to your knees and crying for your momma pain. It didn't help that it happened to be in the most sensitive, elusive, and intimate part of the female body. Yes, I am referring to just where you may have been guessing. One could say that it all started in October of 2019, but truth be told it was actually manifested over a decade prior in 2008. But to not confuse, we will begin with the acute and devastating pain that hit me like a ton of bricks close to 1 year ago. In October of last year, after a particularly stressful period of my life, I woke up one morning with that "not quite right" feeling in my vaginal area. Thinking it would go away, I tried to shrug it off, telling myself it would get better....
